COO, Finance and Governance Specialist
Benjamin Engelbrecht is a finance professional and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience spanning accounting, advisory and structured trade finance. Having completed his articles with Cohen & Gmeiner in 1997, he founded Ben Engelbrecht & Associates, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm serving a diverse client base from SMMEs to large Collective Investment Schemes across South Africa. Following a distinguished career in professional services, he transitioned into the agricultural sector in 2011, where he led financial oversight and reporting for a multinational group comprising 37 companies, further deepening his operational and commercial expertise. In 2015, Ben co-founded Fund Five Capital, a structured trade finance business focused on supporting the SMME sector. He subsequently partnered with Skybound Capital and co-founded Teybridge Capital, where he plays a central role in developing and delivering structured, asset-backed financing solutions, underpinned by his extensive experience across finance, operations and trade.
